NASCAR: Bristol heat race starting lineup – Quin Houff on pole
By Asher Fair
Quin Houff is set to start from the pole position in the first of four heat races to set the starting lineup for the first NASCAR Cup Series dirt race in more than five decades.
The starting lineups for the four Saturday heat races to set the starting lineup for Sunday afternoon’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway, the Food City Dirt Race, were set based on a random draw, and all four have been solidified.
The first three of these four races feature 10 drivers while the fourth and final one features nine as a result of the fact that there are 39 cars on the entry list.
These four heat races are all slated to be 15-lap races around the four-turn, 0.533-mile (0.858-kilometer) high-banked oval in Bristol, Tennessee leading up to Sunday’s 250-lap main event, the first Cup Series race on dirt in more than 50 years.
StarCom Racing’s Quin Houff is set to start from the pole position for the first heat race behind the wheel of his #00 Chevrolet.
