NASCAR: This top-selling diecast Cup car is no surprise
By Asher Fair
After the NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway, it is no surprise which diecast car sits among the most popular.
Busch Beer has been known to produce some interesting paint schemes for Kevin Harvick’s #4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford in recent years for various promotions, and that has already been the case on multiple occasions so far in the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season.
It was the case again in this past Sunday’s GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway.
In this 191-lap race around the four-turn, 2.66-mile (4.281-kilometer) high-banked oval in Lincoln, Alabama, the 45-year-old Bakersfield, California native drove a Busch Dog Brew-sponsored #4 Ford, and he finished the race in fourth place behind Brad Keselowski, William Byron and Michael McDowell.
So what’s behind Busch’s latest promotion?
The brand is on the hunt for their newest executive position, Chief Tasting Officer. The “canine-didate” who lands the new role will be integral in the expansion of Busch Dog Brew.
Take a look at the recruitment film below, starring Busch Guy as well as some prospective applicants.
While this may seem like comedy, don’t be fooled; this new Chief Tasting Officer (CTO) role is, in fact, a very serious one.
It will include leading the expansion of Dog Brew’s flavor portfolio as well as taste-testing, and the chosen pup will fulfill duties as an ambassador for the product. It isn’t just for show, either, as it comes with some serious perks, including an enviable salary of $20,000, healthcare (AKA pet insurance) and stock options (aka Busch Dog Brew made with pork bone broth).
