Xfinity Series driver Ryan Vargas spoke about Best Buy’s return to NASCAR and his relationship with Swann Security which led to that return.

After missing the inaugural NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Circuit of the Americas (COTA), JD Motorsports’ Ryan Vargas is set to return behind the wheel for this Saturday afternoon’s Alsco Uniforms 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

His return is also set to mark Best Buy’s return to the sport.

More from NASCAR

Vargas, who is in his first season as a full-time Xfinity Series driver and had competed in all 10 races up until that race at COTA, has been working with Swann Security since the 2021 season began when the brand signed a four-race sponsorship deal with him and his team.

Best Buy is set to be prominently featured on the quarter panels of Vargas’s #4 Chevrolet during Saturday afternoon’s 200-lap race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) oval in Concord, North Carolina. To commemorate the Memorial Day holiday and celebrate the nation’s armed forces, the paint scheme of the car is set to feature a red, white, and blue theme with stars across the front end.

Vargas recently spoke about his relationship with Swann and how great it is to have the opportunity to bring Best Buy back to the sport.

“I started working with Swann during this season’s opener in Daytona,” Vargas told Beyond the Flag. “I am thrilled they signed on to be the primary sponsor for four of this season’s races and my associate sponsor all season long.

“As one of the top global security system brands, Swann has a long-time relationship with Best Buy and I am super excited we were able to partner with them to bring them back into the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Charlotte this weekend! Swann and I share the same work ethic in that we both do everything to maximize opportunities, and bringing on Best Buy is the fruit of those efforts.”

He also spoke specifically about the SecureAlert 4 Camera 4K IP Security System with Enforcer cameras.

“Swann has been in the security business for over 30 years, and they specialize in robust, DIY security systems that just about anyone can install,” he explained. “This latest system is the perfect blend of those who want the features of a 4K NVR system, but with the added convenience of powered Wi-Fi.

“This means you only have to plug each camera into a power outlet and the audio and video are sent via Wi-Fi (instead of CAT5 cables) to the NVR, which is connected to your internet router. To ensure a reliable Wi-Fi connection, this kit also has the new SwannNet technology, meaning each camera selects whichever network has a stronger Wi-Fi signal – the NVR unit or your router.”

Vargas explained why NASCAR fans in particular should invest in the system.

“I know a lot of NASCAR fans have collectibles and other valuables in their garages and homes, and this system – with its 4K resolution, free local and cloud recording, and Enforcer red and blue flashing lights – is up to the task of protecting their families and homes.”

JD Motorsports use a Swann system themselves.

“In fact, at JD Motorsports, we’ve just installed a Swann system to protect and monitor the entire shop,” Vargas continued. “If we trust Swann to protect our people and business, we think our fans can too. And the beauty of the Swann system is that if we expand our system or add other cameras even at a different location, everything can run and be monitored on one account within the Swann Security app.”
