Possible Kurt Busch landing spots for 2022: No. 3 – Retirement
Retirement is the least likely scenario for Kurt Busch for 2022, but it’s still on the table. Before the 2021 season began, he appeared in a Monster Energy “Shifting Gears” video and basically said that he was satisfied with what he has achieved throughout his career and was content with whatever would come next.

However, he stopped short of confirming that the 2021 season would be his last. While it still could be, the fact that he has been open about the fact that he has options for 2022 and the fact that he wants to drive the new car shows that it’s probably not something he sees as the most likely outcome.
So retirement for Busch is not really the ideal situation for anybody, but it’s one that he has said he would be content with if it happens.
Busch is currently in his 21st season as a full-time Cup Series driver, and the 2021 season hasn’t been his best, putting him at risk of missing the playoffs for the first time sine 2012 when he competed for Phoenix Racing.
However, he and the #1 team at Chip Ganassi Racing have made some improvements as of late, illustrating that the 2004 champion still has what it takes to compete at a high level.
Where will Kurt Busch end up in the 2022 season? Will he move to 23XI Racing or Trackhouse Racing Team, or will the 2021 season be his last?
