Records Kyle Busch will always hold: No. 3 – NASCAR national series wins

This is a record that will forever be debated regarding its significance, given the fact that just 59 of Kyle Busch’s 222 NASCAR national series wins have come in the NASCAR Cup Series.

In fact, among the three national series, his Cup Series win total is actually his lowest, despite the fact that he has won at least one race in each of the last 17 seasons, which is just one season shy of the all-time record held by the great Richard Petty.

Speaking of Petty, “The King” sits in second place behind Busch on the all-time NASCAR national series wins list, and all 200 of his wins came in the Cup Series, a record that also will likely never be toppled.

But significance aside, this is a record that Busch isn’t giving up. Kevin Harvick sits third on the all-time list with 119 victories, and the only other driver with more than half the number of wins that Petty has is the late David Pearson (106).

Harvick is also an active driver, but he is more than nine years older than Busch. Busch could and probably should end up with twice (or more) as many wins as Harvick by the time both have retired, and beyond those two, somebody hitting 100 is going to be a rare sight. Behind those two, Brad Keselowski leads the way among active drivers with 75.
