NASCAR: 3 other teams with open seats for 2022

Teams with open seats for 2022: No. 3 – Front Row Motorsports
We’re going to assume that Michael McDowell ends up back behind the wheel of the #34 Ford for Front Row Motorsports for what would be a fifth consecutive year in the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season after earning his first career victory in the Daytona 500 and qualifying for the playoffs for the first time in his career by doing so.

But even with no changes on the veteran’s side of the garage, Front Row Motorsports would still be looking to fill their second seat behind the wheel of the #38 Ford.
Many questioned the decision when they hired rookie Anthony Alfredo, who had never driven full-time in the Truck Series or the Xfinity Series, to compete full-time behind the wheel of that car this year, and he has indeed struggled, sitting in 30th place in the point standings without a finish of higher than 12th and with just three finishes inside the top 20.
The question is whether or not they re-sign him for a second season and continue to let him try to develop. If not, is this charter possibly one that changes hands (23XI Racing??), or will they look to hire somebody else to take his place? Ryan Newman’s name is still out there, and he could be a steal for a team already thriving with a veteran in one of the two cars.
Who will fill these seats which are currently without confirmed drivers for the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season? Will any of them see the same drivers again next year, or will change abound among some of the sport’s smaller teams?
