By Asher Fair
With the 2021 IndyCar season in the books, take a look at what we know and don’t know about the driver lineup for next year.
The 16-race 2021 IndyCar season came to a conclusion this past Sunday afternoon on the streets of Long Beach, California, with Chip Ganassi Racing’s Alex Palou winning his first championship and Andretti Autosport’s Colton Herta closing out the year with his second straight victory.
The offseason has already seen multiple confirmations about next year’s driver lineup; granted, some of them were practically confirmed prior to season’s end, but they simply had not yet been formally announced.
With that being said, there is still quite a bit that has not been announced about next year’s driver lineup, even among the moves for which it seems to be only a matter of time before they are confirmed.
So what all will be confirmed before the 2022 season begins at the end of February? Take an early look at next year’s driver lineup.
