Three notable drivers know that they will not be back in their current seats for the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season and are searching for new rides.

Several new driver contracts have recently been confirmed for the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season, with some competitors staying put at their current teams and others moving to new organizations for next year.

While there are still quite a few drivers who are not under contract for next year, there are a handful who know for a fact that they will not be back in their current seats in 2022.

Here are three drivers searching for new rides for next season.

Drivers searching for new rides: No. 3 – Ryan Newman

Ryan Newman knows that he will not be back for what would have been a fourth season behind the wheel of the #6 Ford at Roush Fenway Racing after it was announced that Brad Keselowski is set to replace him alongside Chris Buescher for 2022.

Keselowski is moving on after 12 seasons with Team Penske to not only join Roush Fenway Racing as a driver but as a co-owner of the team along with legendary team owner Jack Roush and Fenway Sports Group.

While retirement has been floated as an option for Newman, the 43-year-old South Bend, Indiana still wants to keep driving. The question is where, if anywhere, he will get the opportunity to do so.

There is still a possibility that Newman will stay with the team in a third car, a non-chartered entry, and run a partial schedule, but it remains to be seen if the two sides will come to that agreement or if he will seek a full-time ride elsewhere.
