NASCAR teams that still need drivers: No. 3 – Live Fast Motorsports

In the early stages of the 2021 NASCAR silly season, Live Fast Motorsports had been discussed as a potential seller of a charter for teams in pursuit of one, but they quickly shot down those rumors and confirmed that they have no plans of making any changes on that front.

What they have not confirmed, however, is who will be behind the wheel of the #78 Ford for their second season of competition in 2022.

It is assumed that team co-owned B.J. McLeod, who was the primary driver of the car throughout the team’s maiden season at the sport’s top level (28 of 36 races), will be back for a considerable number of events next year.

The eight races in which he did not compete in 2021 were the seven road course races and the dirt race at Bristol Motor Speedway. On the 2022 schedule, there are six road course races, plus the dirt race, so at most, expect to see him back for 29 races.

Four drivers split time behind the #78 Ford when McLeod did not drive it in 2021, including three for the seven road course races: Scott Heckert, Kyle Tilley and Andy Lally. Shane Golobic competed in the dirt race.

Will any of these drivers be back with the team for select races in 2022?
