There are a number of changes among several teams that have been made to the driver lineup between the 2021 and 2022 Formula 1 seasons.
Of the 20 drivers who competed full-time in the 22-race 2021 Formula 1 season, 17 have returned to the sport for the 23-race 2022 season.
However, just 15 of those 17 drivers have returned to the same team for next year. In total, three drivers have left the sport following the 2021 season. Two drivers have moved to different teams, and three drivers have joined the sport.
Of the three drivers who have joined the sport, two have previously competed, and the other one is a true rookie.
In total, six of the sport’s 10 teams have retained both of their drivers from the 2021 season to the 2022 season; four have not. Of those four teams, three have replaced one of their two drivers from 2021, and one have completed a full lineup overhaul.
Let’s take a look at where all 10 teams stand heading into 2022.
