Multiple teams have made changes to their driver lineups between the 2021 and 2022 Formula 1 seasons. Here’s a quick rundown.

The start of the 2022 Formula 1 season is just a day away, and not all of the sport’s 10 teams look the same as they did in the 2021 season from a driver lineup perspective.

In fact, only six of the 10 teams brought back both of their drivers from the 2021 season. Three of the other four brought back one of their two drivers from last year and replaced the other, and the other team completely overhauled their lineup, replacing both drivers.

In total, 17of last year’s 20 drivers are back for another season, with 15 of those 17 drivers competing for the same team as they did a year ago.

Three drivers are no longer in the sport and another three drivers joined, but with one joining as a rookie. Two others are returning to the sport after a year off in 2021.

Let’s have a look at where the changes were made to the driver lineup between the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

NOTE: The lists are all sorted alphabetically; (R) means rookie.
