Keep tabs on Saturday’s qualifying session for Sunday afternoon’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover Motor Speedway, the 11th race of the 2022 season.

Thanks to an under-the-radar offseason name change, Dover International Speedway was renamed Dover Motor Speedway ahead of the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season. Dover Motor Speedway is scheduled to host the DuraMAX Drydene 400 presented by RelaDyne this Sunday afternoon.

Last year marked the first season since 1970 during which the four-turn, 1.0-mile (1.609-kilometer) oval in Dover, Delaware hosted just one race, and the track is scheduled to host just one race again this year.

For the first time since October 2019, qualifying is set to take place at the track, and the new qualifying format introduced for the 2022 season is set to be used.

Drivers are split up into two groups for the single-car qualifying session based on the qualifying formula, and the fastest five drivers in each group advance to the second round to battle for the pole position with another qualifying attempt.

Who will take the pole position for Sunday’s 400-lap race? Follow along with our live qualifying updates.
