Friday’s qualifying session for Saturday night’s NASCAR Cup Series regular season finale at Daytona International Speedway was canceled.

The Coke Zero Sugar 400 is scheduled to wrap up the 26-race 2022 NASCAR Cup Series regular season this Saturday night at Daytona International Speedway.

The four-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) high-banked Daytona Beach, Florida oval also hosted the season-opening Daytona 500 back in February, a race which was won by Team Penske rookie Austin Cindric.

A qualifying session was to have taken place on Friday afternoon, but inclement weather prevented that from happening.

As a result, the starting lineup was set by the qualifying formula, the formula which is usually used to determine the qualifying order (full formula here).

The starting lineup is essentially the reverse order of what the qualifying order was supposed to be.

Interestingly, Coke Zero Sugar 400 qualifying hasn’t been held since 2018, and that will remain the case for at least another year. It was rained out in 2019, and the race was one of many for which qualifying was simply canceled in 2020 and 2021.

Here is the full starting lineup for Saturday night’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway.
