One of four teams without any drivers confirmed for next year plan to announce their lineup for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season later this week.

Spire Motorsports, Rick Ware Racing, Front Row Motorsports, and Live Fast Motorsports have yet to make any confirmations regarding their 2023 NASCAR Cup Series driver lineups.

One of those teams, Spire Motorsports, is set to cross their name off that list on Tuesday morning, as they are set to announce their 2023 driver and crew chief lineup.

The announcement that is set to be streamed live by NASCAR beginning at 11:00 a.m. ET.

Spire Motorsports are currently in their fourth season of Cup Series competition.

They joined in 2019 as a one-car team with the #77 Chevrolet after purchasing a charter from the now defunct Furniture Row Racing organization. They expanded to two cars in 2021, adding the #7 Chevrolet, and they still run two cars in 2022.

In 2022, the team also expanded into the Truck Series, fielding the #7 Chevrolet in select races. Cup Series drivers Alex Bowman, William Byron, and Chase Elliott are among those who have made starts with the team this year. ARCA Menards Series driver Rajah Caruth leads all drivers with three starts and figures to be in contention to land an expanded role for 2023.

The 2021 Cup Series season was the team’s first with a full-time driver, as they had run a rotation of drivers behind the wheel of the #77 Chevrolet in 2019 and 2020.

While the #77 Chevrolet still serves as a rotational ride, Corey LaJoie joined the team as the full-time driver of the #7 Chevrolet last year and continues to serve in that role. Josh Bilicki and Landon Cassill have been the primary drivers of the #77 Chevrolet this year.

LaJoie has never spent more than two seasons with a single team, but will that change next year Regardless, will the team continue to operate with one full-time driver and an additional full-time car with multiple drivers? Ty Dillon, who is losing his seat at Petty GMS Motorsports to Noah Gragson, has been mentioned as a strong possibility.

Worth noting is the fact that both the #7 team and the #77 team are both in the top 33 in the owner standings. Remaining there would prevent them from potentially beginning a streak of three straight bottom three finishes, which would give NASCAR the ability for charter repossession
