Formula 1: 3 possible replacements for Nicholas Latifi

Possible Nicholas Latifi replacements for 2023: No. 3 – Jack Doohan
This one may seem a bit far-fetched, but it’s perfectly logical. Alpine Academy and Formula 2 driver Jack Doohan is one of the three drivers tied for fourth place in the standings behind Logan Sargeant.
Back in the late spring/early summer, there were rumors that Alpine were going to loan reserve driver Oscar Piastri to Williams as Nicholas Latifi’s replacement, as they were under the impression that Fernando Alonso was going to re-sign with the team.
While Piastri ultimately ended up signing with McLaren following a bizarre sequence of events and Alonso instead left to replace the retiring Sebastian Vettel at Aston Martin, the fact remains that the Enstone outfit would have been willing to loan out one of their young drivers to Williams for at least a year.
Why shouldn’t they be willing to loan out Doohan?
They’ve already managed to lose both Alonso and Piastri, so giving the 19-year-old Australian an early Formula 1 opportunity with another team could bode well for all parties in the event that the interesting new Esteban Ocon/Pierre Gasly partnership doesn’t go according to plan.
There is still a chance that Haas retain Mick Schumacher and Sargeant doesn’t score the necessary points to secure a Super License, and if both situations unfold in that manner, Doohan would make perfect sense here.
