With more than four months to go until IndyCar’s biggest race, the Indy 500 entry list is already nearing 33 cars. Let’s take a look.

The start of the 2023 IndyCar season is still about a month and a half away, and the Indy 500 isn’t scheduled to take place for more than two and a half months after that.

Yet with three confirmations from earlier this week, there are already 32 confirmed entries for this year’s running of the 200-lap race around the four-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval in Speedway, Indiana.

There are 27 cars set to run full-time throughout the season, including 26 with full-time drivers, and five additional entries have already been confirmed for the 107th running of the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing”. Of those five entries, four have confirmed drivers.

Let’s have a way-too-early look at the entry list for this May’s Indy 500, starting with the full-time entries and then moving to the part-time/Indy 500-only entries.
