The order in which the 42 drivers on the Daytona 500 entry list are set to qualify for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season opener is set.

The 65th annual Daytona 500 is scheduled to get the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season underway this Sunday, February 19 at Daytona International Speedway, and the qualifying order is set.

All 42 drivers on the entry list are set to make a single-lap qualifying attempt around the four-turn, 2.5-mile (4.023-kilometer) high-banked Daytona Beach, Florida oval on Wednesday night.

The fastest two drivers secure spots on the front row for the Daytona 500, in addition to the top starting spots for Thursday’s two Bluegreen Vacations Duels. The full qualifying results set the starting lineups for both Duels.

Additionally, with the 36 chartered entries already locked in, two of the six drivers of non-chartered entries are set to secure their spots in the Daytona 500 field via this single-car session, leaving the other four to battle for the final two in the Duels.

The qualifying order for the single-car session was determined by two random draws. The top 20 in last year’s owner standings drew for the final 20 spots, while everybody else drew for the first 2022.

Here is the full qualifying order for the NASCAR Cup Series season-opening Daytona 500.
