NASCAR: Gateway race not being broadcast on Fox
By Asher Fair
The NASCAR Cup Series is back on Fox Sports 1 this Sunday afternoon with the Enjoy Illinois 300 presented by TicketSmarter at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway.
Monday’s rain-postponed Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway was the first NASCAR Cup Series race broadcast live on Fox as opposed to Fox Sports 1 since the race on Sunday, April 23 at Talladega Superspeedway, as four consecutive races had been shown live on Fox Sports 1 instead.
There are just two races remaining on the Cup Series schedule before NBC and USA Network take over the broadcasting duties for the remainder of the season. One is set to be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1, while the other is set to be broadcast live on Fox.
This weekend’s Gateway Enjoy Illinois 300 presented by TicketSmarter at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway is set to be shown on Fox Sports 1, not Fox, beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 4.
Kenny Wallace and Michael Waltrip are set to spend time in the NASCAR broadcast booth, along with full-time announcers Mike Joy and Clint Bowyer.
The final race of the 2023 season which is set to be broadcast live on Fox is the Toyota/Save Mart 350, which is scheduled to take place at Sonoma Raceway on Sunday, June 11 at 3:30 p.m. ET.
The lone off weekend of the season is set for the following weekend, Father’s Day weekend, before the Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway is scheduled to open up NBC’s portion of this year’s broadcast schedule on Sunday, June 25 at 7:00 p.m. ET.
This portion of the broadcast schedule includes each of the final 10 races of the regular season and all 10 playoff races.
Tune in to Fox Sports 1 at 3:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 4 for the live broadcast of the Enjoy Illinois 300 presented by TicketSmarter from World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway.
