HOT – Kurt Busch

Kurt Busch ran the “double” last Sunday when he ran in the Indy 500 and then flew to Charlotte to run in the Coca Cola 600. Although the second half of the double did not go how Busch would have liked, he still had an unbelievable day. Busch ran 6th in the Indy 500 which is remarkable. Prior to Busch preparing for the Indy 500, he had never once drove an Indy car. Busch impressed many when he qualified 12th for the Indy 500 but then brought out the critics when he wrecked during Indy 500 practice. Not only did Busch almost finish in the top-five at the Indy 500 but he also earned Rookie of the Year honors for the race. The only disappointing part of the day came when he would blow an engine late in the Coca Cola 600 to end his day a couple hundred miles short of his goal. All in all though Busch should be proud of what he accomplished last weekend.
