The 2015 NASCAR season is over and it’s now time to take a look at how each team did with a different version of our weekly NASCAR Power Rankings.
NASCAR fans read many versions of Power Rankings each week. They’re loyal to their favorite drivers and want to see if he or she has moved up or down after the most recent race. Many fans like to make their own lists and then compare them to published ones. It is a fun way to engage with the sport.

As we head into the off-season, BeyondTheFlag thought it might be interesting to rank the top 10 teams based on their 2015 performance. To avoid any team or driver biases, the ratings were entirely objective rather than subjective. The following four categories were used and given a weighting percentage – Average starting position, 15%; Average finishing position, 15%; Number of wins, 30% and Year-To-Date Driver Rating, 40%. Each driver was then given a “score” based on the composite of those four categories, and the teams with more than one driver had the driver’s scores averaged for a team score.
The results follow in this article.
