Motorsports TV Schedule, August 17-21
By Alex Herbst
It’s an extra-long weekend of racing upon us, with tonight’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event kicking off this weekend’s motorsports TV schedule.
If it’s the middle of August and NASCAR is heading for the Chase, it only means one thing: Bristol, baby. Stock car racing from America’s coliseum highlights our motorsports TV schedule for this weekend, which kicks off extra early tonight.

All three nationally touring series for NASCAR will be in action from the bullring in Bristol, Tennessee. The Camping World Truck Series races on Wednesday Aug. 17, followed by the Xfinity Series on Friday, Aug. 19 and the Cup Series on Saturday night, Aug. 20.
IndyCar returns at “The Tricky Triangle,” Pocono Raceway. With a secure future with the series through 2018, Pocono should bring some high-octane action from Pennsylvania with the ABC Supply 500 on Sunday, Aug. 21.
In the rest of the racing world, NHRA drag racing comes back from their western swing with live eliminations from Brainerd, Minnesota.
The two-wheelers will be busy too, with AMA Pro Motocross racing at Budds Creek and the MotoGP Czech Grand Prix at Brno. Finally, the World Rally Championship will take on the rough stretches of Germany throughout the weekend.
