2017 Xfinity Series at Dover Results – Larson Wins His Third
By Alex Herbst
In another dominating performance on Saturday, Kyle Larson cruised to victory in the One Main Financial 200 at the Monster Mile for the Xfinity Series.
Is it really taking candy from a baby if you are still a baby yourself? Unlike most NASCAR Cup Series competitors that moonlight in the Xfinity Series, Kyle Larson is not a seasoned veteran by any means. The young man who just recently rose to prominence at the top level is still considered a young gun. But that did not stop him from beating down the competition in Saturday’s Xfinity Series race at Dover.

Larson, who led 137 of the 200 laps in the One Main Financial 200, held off Team Penske’s Ryan Blaney for the win. Cup Series drivers made up the top three today, with Daniel Suarez coming home in 3rd. They were then followed by a gaggle of Xfinity Series regulars, as Cole Custer and Ryan Reed rounded out the top 5.
The Monster Mile also served as the final Xfinity Dash4Cash event in 2017, with four drivers set to vie for $100,000 in the final stage. Those four drivers were Darrell Wallace Jr., William Byron, Elliott Sadler, and Brennan Poole. At the end of the day, it was the rookie Byron who finished the best of the four in 6th and took home the cold hard cash.
