The sixth and final oval track race of the 2017 IndyCar season is officially in the books. How do the final oval track championship standings look?

Coming off of the sixth and final oval track race of the 2017 IndyCar season at Gateway, Helio Castroneves is the 2017 champion of the oval track championship standings.

Castroneves drives for Team Penske, which is one of only three teams represented in the top 5. Chip Ganassi Racing and Andretti Autosport are the other two.

He took the oval track championship from Will Power in the final oval race of the 2017 season, the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 at Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Illinois.

He did so by finishing the race in 4th place after leading a bunch of laps, while Will Power crashed on the initial start of the race after he rolled off in the pole position.

Josef Newgarden ended up winning the race, which gave him a major boost in the oval track standings to end the season.

Which other drivers jumped in the final oval track standings this season, and who fell down a few spots?
