Which teams are looking good after the 27th race of the 2017 NASCAR Cup Series season at Chicagoland, and which still have lots of work to do?

With the first race of the 2017 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs in the books at Chicagoland, just nine races remain on this season’s schedule. The second playoff race takes place next Sunday at New Hampshire.

Which teams are up and which teams are down in these rankings following Martin Truex Jr. and Furniture Row Racing’s victory at Chicagoland?

NOTE:  The “Last week” category includes the finishing positions for each of a team’s drivers in the latest NASCAR race. The “Last rank” category includes each team’s ranking in the previous edition of the NASCAR team power rankings.

Also note the following:

  • Only teams’ playoff drivers are factored into these rankings.
  • All teams with at least one playoff driver are included.
  • Because only six teams have been included on a weekly basis and there are nine playoffs teams, not all “Last Rank” category movements are accurate.

Non-Playoff Teams (Not Ranked)

  • Circle Sport – The Motorsports Group, Chevrolet
  • Germain Racing, Chevrolet
  • JTG Daugherty Racing, Chevrolet
  • Leavine Family Racing, Chevrolet
