Formula One: 2017 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix results – Valtteri Bottas wins

In the final Formula One race of the 2017 season, it was Valtteri Bottas taking the checkered flag in front of the field to go out with a win.
In the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the 20th race of the 20-race 2017 Formula One schedule, Mercedes AMG Petronas Motorsport’s Valtteri Bottas, 28, took the checkered flag in front of the field to finish the season on a high note with a victory the around the 21-turn, 3.451-mile Yas Marina Circuit on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The win was Bottas’ third of the season, and it was also the third win of his five-year career. His other two career wins, both of which came this season, were in the Russian Grand Prix and the Austrian Grand Prix.
Bottas’ teammate Lewis Hamilton, the 2017 and four-time Formula One champion, finished directly behind him in 2nd place, with Sebastian Vettel rounding out the podium finishers in 3rd. Kimi Raikkonen and Max Verstappen finished in 4th and 5th, respectively.

Nico Hulkenberg, Sergio Perez, Esteban Ocon, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa rounded out the top 10 from 6th to 10th place, respectively, with Massa scoring one point in his final Formula One start.
The only two drivers who were forced to retire from the race were Daniel Ricciardo and Carlos Sainz Jr. The other 18 drivers all went on to finish the race, with the top 8 doing so on the lead lap and the other 10 doing so exactly one lap down.
