The 2018 racing season has officially begun. Take a side-by-side look at when Formula One, the NASCAR Cup Series and IndyCar will be in action this year.
This past Sunday, the 2018 racing season kicked off with the NASCAR Cup Series season opener, the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. As a result, one of the three top racing series are officially in season.
While the Cup Series action is set to continue nearly every week until the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Florida in November, the 2018 Formula One and IndyCar seasons have not yet gotten started. They are set to do so next month.
Including this past weekend, there are 41 race weekends that are set to take place before the 2018 seasons of each of these three series come to a close. These 41 race weekends consist of a total of 74 races across all three of these series. These 74 races include 36 Cup Series races, 21 Formula One races and 17 IndyCar races.

Of these 41 weekends, 38 of them include at least one non-exhibition race from at least one of these three series. Of these 38 weekends that include at least one race, 10 include races in all three series, 15 include races in two of the three series, and 13 include a race in just one series.
Of the 15 race weekends that include races in two of the three series, nine include Formula One and NASCAR Cup Series races, one of them includes Formula One and IndyCar races, and five of them include NASCAR Cup Series and IndyCar races.
Of the 13 races weekends that include a race in just one series, one of them includes a Formula One races and 12 of them include a NASCAR Cup Series race. Of the three races weekends that do not include any non-exhibition races, one of them is on Easter Weekend in April, one of them is in May and one of them is in June.
