With just six oval races on the 2018 IndyCar season schedule, there will be just one race after which each driver’s average finish in oval races is not guaranteed to match up with their average finish over the course of the last five oval races.
That race is not until the end of August when the series travels to Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Illinois. It will be interesting to see how the formulated IndyCar Oval Driver Power Rankings change until then with no difference between each driver’s average finish in oval races and their average finish over the course of the last five oval races.
