The third of 17 races in the 2018 IndyCar season is behind us. Where do the 10 teams stack up against each other in the power rankings?

Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi took the checkered flag in front of the rest of the field in the third race of the 2018 IndyCar season, the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, in his #27 Honda after dominating the 85-lap race around the 11-turn, 1.968-mile temporary street circuit in Long Beach, California.

Rossi’s win means that three different drivers from three different teams have now won one race through the first three races in the 17-race 2018 season. Sebastien Bourdais won the season opener in St. Petersburg, Florida for Dale Coyne Racing and Josef Newgarden won in Phoenix for Team Penske prior to Rossi’s win in Long Beach.

This is the second consecutive season in which three different drivers from three different teams have won one race through the first three races of the season. Bourdais also won in St. Petersburg last season for Dale Coyne Racing before James Hinchcliffe won in Long Beach for Schmidt Peterson Motorsports and Newgarden won in Alabama for Team Penske.

Through three races so far this season, Honda drivers have occupied 16 of the 18 total positions between 1st and 6th place. Both top 6 finishes for Chevrolet drivers so far this season have been top 2 finishes by Team Penske drivers, with Newgarden winning in Phoenix and Will Power finishing in 2nd place behind Rossi in Long Beach. How has the action from the first three races of the 2018 season in St. Petersburg, Phoenix and Long Beach affected the IndyCar Team Power Rankings?
