With four of the 17 races on the 2018 IndyCar schedule having been completed, the season is nearly at the one-quarter mark. Here are the rankings of the sport’s 10 full-time teams as of now.
Josef Newgarden’s victory in the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama, the fourth race of the 2018 IndyCar season, made Team Penske the first team of the season to win more than one race, as the win was Newgarden’s second win of the season.
Newgarden also won the second race of the season at ISM Raceway in Avondale, Arizona before winning the most recent race at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama to become the first driver to win more than one race this season.
Dale Coyne Racing and Andretti Autosport are the other two teams that have won one race so far this season, as the former won the season opener in St. Petersburg, Florida with Sebastien Bourdais and the latter won in Long Beach, California with Alexander Rossi.

As a whole, Honda teams have had the upper hand over the Chevrolet teams so far this season despite the fact that Honda drivers have won two races and Chevrolet drivers have won two races as well.
Through the first four races of the season, there have been 24 top 6 finishing positions (six in each race). Of those 24 top 6 finishing positions, Honda drivers have taken 21 of them, while Chevrolet drivers have taken just three of them.
While Newgarden, Team Penske and Chevrolet have accounted for half of the victories so far in the 2018 season, this does not tell the whole story in regard to how Chevrolet teams, including Team Penske, are performing.
