Graham Rahal topped the speed chart in the fourth practice session for the 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 at the four-turn, 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval in Speedway, Indiana. This practice session featured all 35 of the IndyCar drivers who are entered in the race.
Rahal, who drives the #15 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing Honda, topped the speed chart in the session with a top lap speed of 226.047 miles per hour (39.8148 seconds) around the track. While this was not the fastest lap of the week so far, it was the only lap recorded at above 226 miles per hour today and it was just the fifth lap recorded at above 226 miles per hour so far this week.
All five of the drivers who have recorded laps at over 226 miles per hour so far this week have been Honda drivers, with four of those drivers doing so in yesterday’s practice session that was led by Marco Andretti in his #98 Andretti Herta Autosport Honda, who recorded the fastest lap of the week so far at 227.053 miles per hour (39.5383 seconds).
