The 13th race of the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season, the Coca-Cola 600, is set to take place this Sunday. Here is the entry list for the race.
The 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season is one-third of the way over. The second third of the season begins this weekend with the 13th race of the 36-race season. That race, the Coca-Cola 600, is the longest race of the season.
The race is set to take place at the four-turn, 1.5-mile Charlotte Motor Speedway quad oval in Concord, North Carolina on Sunday night to finish off the greatest day of the racing year, Memorial Day Sunday.
Formula 1’s crown jewel event, the Monaco Grand Prix at Circuit de Monaco in Monte Carlo, Monaco, kicks off the day’s events in the morning, and IndyCar’s crown jewel event, the Indianapolis 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Indiana, follows it in the afternoon before the Coca-Cola 600 goes green in the evening.

The entry list for this year’s Coca-Cola 600 is the largest entry list of the 2018 season so far, as a total of 41 drivers are set to attempt to qualify for the race, which has just 40 open positions, meaning one driver will end up not starting the race. Of those 41 drivers, 40 have been confirmed, as the #51 Rick Ware Racing Ford does not yet have a confirmed driver.
Of the 12 races so far this season, only two have featured a full field, with those two races being the restrictor plate races at Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway. All 10 of the other races have featured between 36 and 39 drivers.
