The sixth race of the 2018 IndyCar season, the Indianapolis 500, is in the books. How do the sport’s teams stack up against one another?

Team Penske’s Will Power claimed his first victory in the Indianapolis 500, the sixth race of the 17-race 2018 IndyCar season, after leading 59 of the race’s 200 laps around the four-turn, 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval in Speedway, Indiana on Sunday afternoon.

Power’s victory was his second in a row, as he also won the IndyCar Grand Prix at the 13-turn, 2.439-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course two weeks prior to the Indy 500. His win delivered Team Penske their fourth victory through just six races so far this season.

Power’s two victories combined with the two victories of Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden at ISM Raceway and Barber Motorsports Park in April give Team Penske four wins in the last five races following the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, which was a season opener to forget for the team.

More from IndyCar

As a result of Power’s victory in the Indy 500, Team Penske team owner Roger Penske now has 17 Indy 500 victories, which is the all-time record by far. Prior to Power’s win, that record most recently grew from 15 to 16 wins when Juan Pablo Montoya held off Power to win the 2015 Indy 500 for the team.

Dale Coyne Racing and Andretti Autosport are the other teams that have won so far this season, and they both have only one victory. The former won on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida with Sebastien Bourdais to open up the 2018 season, and the latter won with Alexander Rossi on the streets of Long Beach, California.

How did Power’s victory and the rest of the action from the 102nd running of the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing” affect the IndyCar Team Power Rankings? Here are the formulated IndyCar Team Power Rankings and the non-formulated IndyCar Team Power Rankings after the sixth race of the 2018 IndyCar season.
