The fifth road or street course race of the 2018 IndyCar season is in the books. How do the sport’s 10 full-time teams stack up against one another?
Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon earned his first victory of the 2018 IndyCar season and thus his first victory in a road or street course race so far this season by winning the first race of the Chevrolet Dual in Detroit.
Dixon won the race on the 14-turn, 2.35-mile temporary street circuit on the streets of Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan, which was the seventh overall race of the season and fifth road or street course of the season, after leading 39 of its 70 laps.
In doing so, Dixon delivered Chip Ganassi Racing their first victory of the 2018 season and thus their first victory in a road or street course race so far this season. He made them the fourth different team to win a race through seven races in 2018.

All four of the teams that have won at least one race so far this season have won a road or street course race. Team Penske, the only team to win an oval race this season with two oval victories, also have two wins in road or street course races. The other two teams aside of Chip Ganassi Racing and Team Penske that have won a road or street course race so far this season are Dale Coyne Racing and Andretti Autosport.
Only six of the full-time teams have not yet won a road or street course race so far this season, although two of them, Schmidt Peterson Motorsports and Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, have come close on several occasions. With how competitive IndyCar has been this season, one or both of those teams could end up winning a road or street course race in the near future.
