With 10 of the 17 races on the 2018 IndyCar schedule now in the books, where to the sport’s full-time teams rank in relation to one another?

Last Sunday’s Kohler Grand Prix was the 10th race of the 17-race 2018 IndyCar schedule, and it was won by Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden in his #1 Chevrolet. Newgarden’s victory in the race was his third victory of the season.

Newgarden’s victory in the 55-lap race around the 14-turn, 4.048-mile (6.515-kilometer) Road America road course in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin also gave Team Penske their fifth victory so far this season, which is by far the most among all teams in the sport.

In fact, only four teams have won at least one race so far this season. Of those four teams, three of them have multiple victories. Of those three teams, two of them have two victories, while Team Penske have now won half of the season’s races and have five victories.

While Team Penske have certainly gotten the job done when it comes to winning races, they have not had a ton of success beyond that, nor have any of the other Chevrolet teams. In fact, no other Chevrolet teams have had any one of their full-time drivers finish a single race in the top six so far this season.

In four of the five races won by a Team Penske driver, all four of the other top five positions have been occupied by Honda drivers. If not for Team Penske drivers Newgarden and Will Power combining to win five of the first 10 races of the season, the 2018 season would be one that has been absolutely dominated by the Honda teams from start to finish, as they would have dominated pretty much every race from top to bottom.

How did the fifth victory of the 2018 IndyCar season for Chevrolet and Team Penske and the rest of the action from the season’s 10th race affect the IndyCar Team Power Rankings? Here are the formulated IndyCar Team Power Rankings and the non-formulated IndyCar Team Power Rankings following the action from Road America.
