IndyCar: 2018 Honda Indy Toronto entry list
By Asher Fair
The 12th race of the 2018 IndyCar season is the Honda Indy Toronto. Here is the full entry list for that race on the streets of Exhibition Place.
The 12th of 17 races, the eighth of 11 road and street course races and the fifth and final street course race of the 2018 IndyCar season is scheduled to take place this Sunday, July 15. That race is the Honda Indy Toronto.
The 2018 Honda Indy Toronto is scheduled to last for 85 laps around the 11-turn, 1.786-mile (2.874-kilometer) temporary street circuit at Exhibition Place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada just as it has been in the last three years dating back to 2015, which was the first year since 2012 during which the race was a single race as opposed to a doubleheader.
A total of 23 drivers are set to drive in this season’s Honda Indy Toronto. The field size of 23 drivers has been the most common field size of the season thus far, as five of the first 11 races of the year featured 23 drivers.

The last IndyCar race that featured more than 23 drivers was the Indianapolis 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, as that race was made up of the traditional 33-car field. The five races that have take place since then featured either 22 or 23 drivers.
So far this season, four races have featured more than 23 drivers, with three featuring 24 drivers and one featuring 33 drivers, while just two races have featured less than 23 drivers, with both of those races featuring 22 drivers.
A total of 19 of the 20 full-time drivers are all set to drive in the race this weekend, as Conor Daly is set to replace Gabby Chaves in the #88 Harding Racing Chevrolet. The only other race this season during which not all 20 dull-time drivers drove was the Indianapolis 500, which James Hinchcliffe failed to qualify for in his #5 Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Honda.
The two full-time cars with part-time drivers are also set to compete this weekend. Zachary Claman DeMelo is set to drive the #19 Dale Coyne Racing Honda and Jordan King is set to drive the #20 Ed Carpenter Racing Chevrolet.
The only non-full-time car that is set to compete this weekend is the #32 Juncos Racing Chevrolet, which is set to be driven by rookie Rene Binder, who has made three starts so far this season. All three of his starts have come in street course races.
