Dixon in on pace to finish on top of the road and street course standings for the first time since he did so in the 2013 season, which was the season during which he won his third career IndyCar championship.
As a result of his performance in the 2018 season’s eighth road or street course race, Dixon maintained his position at the top of the formulated IndyCar Driver Road and Street Course Power Rankings, and he reclaimed the top position of the non-formulated IndyCar Driver Road and Street Course Power Rankings.
Dixon had not been in the top position of the non-formulated IndyCar Driver Road and Street Course Power Rankings since he moved from fourth to first place in the rankings following his first road or street course victory of the season in the first race of the Chevrolet Dual in Detroit.
