IndyCar: Alexander Rossi wins 2018 Honda Indy 200

Alexander Rossi won the 13th race of the 17-race 2018 IndyCar season, the Honda Indy 200, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The win is his second of the year.
Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi earned his second victory of the 17-race 2018 IndyCar season in the season’s 13th race, the Honda Indy 200, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
Rossi won the 90-lap race around the 13-turn, 2.258-mile (3.634-kilometer) Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio in his #27 Honda by 12.8285 seconds over second place finisher Robert Wickens in his #6 Schmidt Peterson Motorsports Honda.
The win is Rossi’s second of the season, as he also won the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach at the streets of Long Beach, California back in mid-April.

Team Penske’s Will Power was the highest finishing Chevrolet driver of the race. He finished in third place in his #12 Chevrolet. Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden and Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon rounded out the top five in their #1 Chevrolet and #9 Honda.
Dale Coyne Racing’s Sebastien Bourdais, Andretti Autosport’s Ryan Hunter-Reay, Team Penske’s Simon Pagenaud, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing’s Graham Rahal and Andretti Autosport’s Zach Veach rounded out the top 10 in sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and 10th place in their #18 Honda, #28 Honda, #22 Chevrolet, #15 Honda and #26 Honda, respectively.
Ed Carpenter Racing’s Jordan King was the highest finishing non-Team Penske Chevrolet driver of the race. He finished in 12th place in his #20 Chevrolet.
The race featured a total of five lead changes among three drivers. Aside of Rossi, who led more laps than anybody else in the field with 66 laps led after starting from the pole position, two other drivers led at least one lap of the race. Those drivers were and Wickens and Power, as no drivers who failed to finish on the podium led the race at any point.
The race did not feature any caution flag periods. All 24 drivers who started the race finished the race, and 15 of them finished it on the lead lap.
