Conclusion
The question coming into the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course was whether or not anybody could stop Scott Dixon on his quest to become just the second driver in IndyCar history to win five championships.

By dominating the race, Alexander Rossi proved that he will certainly not go down without a fight. Meanwhile, three other drivers finished ahead of Dixon, who finished the race in fifth place, to stay in the championship hunt, albeit only slightly.
Those three drivers are Robert Wickens, Will Power and Josef Newgarden, who finished the race in second, third and fourth place and currently sit in sixth, fourth and third in the championship standings, respectively.
Dixon, the current leader of the championship standings, was able to maintain his position atop both the formulated IndyCar Driver Power Rankings and the non-formulated IndyCar Driver Power Rankings, but Rossi was able to reel him in ever so slightly in both sets of rankings with just four races remaining, of which one, the season finale at Sonoma Raceway, is a double points race.
The ABC Supply 500 is the next race on the 2018 IndyCar schedule. That race is scheduled to be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network from Pocono Raceway starting at 1:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, August 19.
