Formula 1: 2019 grid set with Lance Stroll to Force India confirmation

With the confirmation of Lance Stroll driving for Force India, all 10 teams have filled both of their seats on the grid for the 2019 Formula 1 season.

With Lance Stroll having been confirmed as Racing Point Force India’s second driver for the 2019 Formula 1 season, the grid for the 2019 season has been set, as all 10 teams have filled both of their seats.

Here is a grouping of drivers who are set to return to their teams next season, drivers who are set to switch teams for next season, new drivers who are set to enter Formula 1 next season, and drivers from the 2018 season who are not set to return to the sport in 2019.

No change

Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas are both set to return to Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport while Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen are both set to return to Haas. Sebastian Vettel is set to return to Scuderia Ferrari while Max Verstappen is set to return to Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, Nico Hulkenberg is set to return to Renault Sport and Sergio Perez is set to return to Force India.

New teams

Charles Leclerc is set to move from Alfa Romeo Sauber to Ferrari while Kimi Raikkonen is set to move from Ferrari to Sauber. Pierre Gasly is set to move from Scuderia Toro Rosso to Red Bull Racing while Daniel Ricciardo is set to move from Red Bull Racing to Renault and Carlos Sainz Jr. is set to move from Renault to McLaren. Lance Stroll is set to move from Williams Martini Racing to Force India.

Antonio Giovinazzi is set to drive for Sauber while Daniil Kvyat and Alexander Albon are set to drive for Toro Rosso, Lando Norris is set to drive for McLaren and George Russell and Robert Kubica are set to drive for Williams.

Old drivers out

Marcus Ericsson is set to leave Sauber while Brendon Hartley is set to leave Toro Rosso and both Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne are set to leave McLaren. Esteban Ocon is set to leave Force India while Sergey Sirotkin is set to leave Williams.
