Join me for part one of my new series “What’s RIGHT with NASCAR?”! As a follow-up to last summer’s series detailing what the sport is getting wrong, we take a look at things going in a positive direction!

Howdy, folks! After taking a few months away from the blogging world, I am back and better than ever! For 2019, my goal is to communicate with the masses more than ever before!

I’m recharged, re-energized and ready to write! With that in the air, let’s get started with my first article of 2019!

For folks who followed along last year, you will remember a multi-part series I worked on titled “What’s wrong with NASCAR?”. If you are new to Beyond the Flag, this series laid out a variety of topics that I believed are currently wrong with the sport.

More from NASCAR Cup Series

With the intent of laying out NASCAR‘s issues into one project, fans were able to open their eyes to these issues and continue to think of viable solutions for the sport’s major problems!

So why is this series important? Because this year’s first post is the kickoff to my second series, “What’s RIGHT with NASCAR?”. In this eight-part series I will lay out facets of the sport that are headed in the RIGHT direction!

In this preseason series, my goal is to give credit where credit it due! There are many things that NASCAR can improve on, but there are also things that the sport is getting right!

I’ve discussed the negatives enough, so now it’s time for the positives! This eight-part series will be published one piece at a time in the following order:

Part 1: Introduction
Part 2: The Fans
Part 3: The Drivers
Part 4: Next Generation
Part 5: Ownership Changes
Part 6: Aura of Change
Part 7: Social Media Growing
Part 8: Conclusion

Through these eight articles, we will look at what the sport is doing right in 2019 and why a foundation for a bright future is among us. We know the sport isn’t all sunshine and rainbows right now, but there could still be a pot of gold on the other side.

Join me next week as we discuss our first concrete topic, the fans! Find out why race fans are still giving the sport a light at the end of the tunnel!

I hope you will enjoy the series with me, and let’s have a great 2019! Thanks for all the support last year, and I can’t wait for the NASCAR season to begin in mid-February!
