Kyle Busch is now the winningest driver in NASCAR history across the Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Truck Series. How many more races will he win before he retires?

By winning Saturday’s NASCAR Truck Series race, the TruNorth Global 250, at Martinsville Speedway, Kyle Busch became the winningest driver in NASCAR history across the Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Truck Series.

Busch’s victory in this 250-lap race around the four-turn, 0.526-mile (0.847-kilometer) Martinsville Speedway oval in Ridgeway, Virginia was the 54th victory of his Truck Series career, and it was the 201st victory of his NASCAR career.

Entering this race, Busch and Richard Petty were tied atop the all-time NASCAR wins list with 200 victories. Busch had earned 53 Cup Series victories, an all-time record 94 career Xfinity Series victories and an all-time record 53 Truck Series victories.

Petty, meanwhile, never competed in the Xfinity Series or the Truck Series and thus earned all 200 of his victories in the Cup Series.

Now the 33-year-old Las Vegas, Nevada native has nobody left to pass on the all-time NASCAR wins list. So how many wins will he earn across the sport’s top three series before he retires?

In terms of his career NASCAR win total, Busch has his sights on reaching 250. Here is what he had to say about the matter, according to NASCAR.

"“I don’t know. 250 I guess — the race to 250,”"

Busch has set his Cup Series goal at 100 career victories, and given the fact that he already has 53 career Cup Series victories to his name at the age of 33, this goal seems very achievable. Here is what he had to say about the matter earlier this month, according to NASCAR.

"“Might as well set your goals high, go out there and achieve. Let’s set it at 100 and see if we can’t get there. That would certainly put us up there with the top guys, being one of the best of the best. But overall that’s a long ways to go. You got to win a lot of races, a lot of years, to be able to tally up that many. I’m not quite as good as Jeff Gordon any more with being able to win 10 races a year or 13 races a year. I don’t know if those details will happen that much any more. Last year we gave it a shot with eight. See if we can’t keep firing them off like we are right now and living the dream, baby.”"

Busch stated in 2017 that he plans to stop racing in the Xfinity Series once he secures his 100th career victory in the series. Here is what he had to say about the matter, according to NASCAR.

"“Retirement is fast approaching, so I’m looking forward to that. When I get to 100 XFINITY wins, I’m done with XFINITY. So my retirement with XFINITY is fast approaching.”"

If Busch earns 100 career Cup Series victories and 100 career Xfinity Series victories, he will have earned at least 254 career NASCAR victories, as his career Truck Series win total is 54.

Busch has not put a timetable on his retirement from the Truck Series, and as the team owner of Truck Series team Kyle Busch Motorsports, don’t expect him to stop driving in his permissible total of five races per season. Expect him to win somewhere in the vicinity of 20 more races in this series before he retires.

There is no guarantee that Busch will reach 100 career Cup Series victories, although he should at least end up coming to that total. Him reaching 100 career Xfinity Series victories, however, seems overwhelmingly likely, perhaps even within the next season or two.

With all things considered, expect Busch to retire from NASCAR having earned somewhere between 250 and 275 victories across the Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Truck Series.
