A total of 40 drivers are set to qualify for the 10th race on the 36-race 2019 NASCAR Cup Series schedule, the GEICO 500, at Talladega Superspeedway.

This race is the first of two scheduled races at Talladega Superspeedway this season. The second of these two races is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 13 as the second of three races in the round of 12, the second of four rounds in the playoffs.

Five of the 40 drivers who are set to compete in tomorrow afternoon’s race at the track have combined to win the nine races that have been contested so far this season.

Of the other 35 drivers, 28 are full-time drivers and seven are part-time drivers.

Additionally, eight different drivers have taken one pole position through the first nine races of the season.
