Johnny Sauter won his third consecutive NASCAR Truck Series race at Dover International Speedway. How did victory in the JEGS 200 affect the power rankings?

A NASCAR Truck Series race without Kyle Busch was exciting nonetheless. The JEGS 200 at Dover International Speedway featured 11 lead changes among six drivers. The two drivers who started the race on the  front row, Brett Moffitt and Johnny Sauter, combined to lead 124 of the race’s 200 laps and earned the most points in the race.

When the checkered flag flew, Sauter became the winner for the first time in the 2019 season. He joined Austin Hill as the only Truck Series regulars to win this season. More than likely, he clinched his playoff berth with this win.

Sauter has now won the Truck Series races at Dover International Speedway for three consecutive seasons, as he won there in June 2017 and May 2018 driving for GMS Racing as well. Now he won after beating Moffitt, the driver who replaced him at GMS Racing. Sauter thoroughly enjoyed this victory, and everyone else took note.

Moffitt complained about the lapped traffic, but at the end of the day, he still came in second place, just 0.603 seconds behind Sauter.

Sauter’s victory ended the stranglehold of the series by Busch. How then did the results of the JEGS 200 affect the driver power rankings? Before you read about the top 10 drivers, here are the 20 drivers who are in the top 30 in the championship standings but are not in this week’s top 10.

NOTE: “LW” refers to the power rankings after the TruNorth Global 250 at Martinsville Speedway and “NR” means not ranked.
