A total of 40 drivers are set to compete in the 12th race on the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series schedule, the Digital Ally 400, at Kansas Speedway.

The Digital Ally 400 at Kansas Speedway marks the one-third mark on the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series schedule, as it is the 12th race of the 36-race season. This race is scheduled to take place this Saturday, May 11 under the lights.

A total of 40 drivers are set to compete in this 267-lap race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) Kansas Speedway oval in Kansas City, Kansas.

So far this season, only two races have featured full fields of 40 drivers. These two races were the season opener, the Daytona 500, at Daytona International Speedway and the season’s 10th race, the GEICO 500, at Talladega Superspeedway.

More from NASCAR Cup Series

Of the 40 drivers who are set to compete in this Saturday night’s race, 33 are full-time drivers while seven are part-time drivers. Of the 33 full-time drivers, 31 are eligible to earn points in the Cup Series, as Premium Motorsports’ Ross Chastain and StarCom Racing’s Landon Cassill are not.

Of the seven part-time drivers who are set to compete in this Saturday night’s race, three are set to drive for chartered teams while four are set to drive for unchartered teams. Petty Ware Racing’s Jeb Burton, Rick Ware Racing’s Bayley Currey and Spire Motorsports’ Quin Houff are set to drive for chartered teams while Premium Motorsports’ Reed Sorenson, Richard Childress Racing’s Tyler Reddick and MBM Motorsports teammate Joey Gase and Timmy Hill are set to drive for unchartered teams.

That said, whether these drivers are driving for chartered teams or unchartered teams is essentially immaterial when it comes to qualifying for this race because of the fact that the entry list is not overflowing, as the maximum driver total for each race is 40 and therefore nobody will be bumped from the field.

Here is a list of the 40 drivers who are set to compete in the 2019 Digital Ally 400 at Kansas Speedway.
