NASCAR Cup Series: 2019 Coca-Cola 600 qualifying – Live updates

Follow along with our live qualifying updates for the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series season’s 13th race, the Coca-Cola 600, at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
A total of 40 drivers are set to qualify for the 13th race on the 36-race 2019 NASCAR Cup Series schedule, the Coca-Cola 600, at Charlotte Motor Speedway, making this race the fourth race of the season to feature a full field.
This race is the first of two scheduled races at Charlotte Motor Speedway this season, although the second of these two races is scheduled to take place on the track’s roval as opposed to the track’s oval like this Sunday’s race is.
The race on the track’s roval is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 29, and it is set to serve as the third and final race of the round of 16, which is the first round of the four-round playoffs, and the third of 10 races in the playoffs as a whole.

Six of the 40 drivers who are set to compete in Sunday night’s race under the lights at the track have combined to win the 12 races that have been contested so far this season. Four of these six drivers have combined to win 10 of those 12 races.
Of the other 34 drivers, 25 are full-time drivers who are eligible to score points in the Cup Series, two are full-time drivers who are not eligible to score points in the Cup Series and seven are part-time drivers.
Additionally, through the season’s first 12 races, eight different drivers have taken at least one pole position. The season began with eight different polesitters in the first eight races, but two of these eight drivers have taken now two pole positions while one has now taken three.
