With the crown jewel race of the 2019 Formula 1 season, the Monaco Grand Prix, in the books, how do the Formula 1 Team Power Rankings look?

Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport’s Lewis Hamilton continued the Brackley-based team’s hot streak to open up the 21-race 2019 Formula 1 season by winning the season’s sixth race, the Monaco Grand Prix, at Circuit de Monaco.

Hamilton’s victory in the 78-lap race around the 19-turn, 2.074-mile (3.338-kilometer) Circuit de Monaco temporary street circuit in Monte Carlo, Monaco was his fourth victory of the season, and it was Mercedes’ sixth victory of the season, as Valtteri Bottas has also earned two victories so far in 2019.

The last time a team won six consecutive races to open up a season was the 2015 season when Mercedes won the season’s first six races. Hamilton won four races during this six-race span as well, and teammate Nico Rosberg won the other two.

Despite the fact that Hamilton led all 78 laps of the Monaco Grand Prix after starting from the pole position, this race actually ended up being Mercedes’ worst race of the season’s first six races.

Bottas finished the race in third place, which was the worst finish of any Mercedes driver this season. Hamilton and Bottas all finished in the top two in each of the season’s first five races, marking the first time in Formula 1 history that a team had recorded more than three consecutive 1-2 finishes to open up a season.

How did Mercedes’ sixth victory of the 2019 season affect the Formula 1 Team Power Rankings? Here are the formulated Formula 1 Team Power Rankings and the non-formulated Formula 1 Team Power Rankings following the action from the streets of Monte Carlo.
