Following Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix Race 2 at the Raceway on Belle Isle, which teams rank where in the IndyCar Team Power Rankings?

Scott Dixon earned his first victory of the 17-race 2019 IndyCar season by securing Chip Ganassi Racing their first victory of the season, as he won the season’s eighth race, Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix Race 2, at the Raceway on Belle Isle.

Dixon’s victory in this 70-lap race around the 14-turn, 2.35-mile (3.782-kilometer) Raceway on Belle Isle temporary street circuit on the streets of Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan made Chip Ganassi Racing the fifth different team to win a race this season.

Chip Ganassi Racing are now tied with Harding Steinbrenner Racing, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing and Andretti Autosport for second place on the wins list behind Team Penske, which have earned four victories so far this season.

By winning this race, Chip Ganassi Racing became the first team to add their name to this wins list since Alexander Rossi earned Andretti Autosport their first victory of the season by winning the season’s fourth race on the streets of Long Beach, California.

Since then, only Team Penske had been victorious, and Josef Newgarden had already earned them their first victory of the season by winning the season opener on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida. Following Rossi’s victory, Team Penske’s Simon Pagenaud won the race on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course before winning the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval. Newgarden then won Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix Race 1.
