Josef Newgarden’s average finish in the last five races dropped by a whopping 2.40 as a result of the fact that his third place finish in the REV Group Grand Prix of Road America replaced his 15th place finish in the IndyCar Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course in the calculation of this average. It dropped from 8.00 to 5.60.
However, not even that drop could compare to the drop that Alexander Rossi’s average finish in the last five races experienced as a result of his dominant victory in the REV Group Grand Prix at Road America. His victory replaced his 22nd place finish in the IndyCar Grand Prix in the calculation of his average, which dropped this average by a whopping 4.20 from 6.60 to 2.40.
The next race on the 2019 IndyCar schedule is not scheduled to take place for another three weekends. This race, the Honda Indy Toronto, is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 14 at Exhibition Place on the streets of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. ET, and it is set to be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network beginning at 3:00 p.m. ET.
