Follow along with our live qualifying updates for the 2019 NASCAR Cup Series season’s 17th race, the Camping World 400, at Chicagoland Speedway.

A total of 38 drivers are set to compete in the 17th race on the 36-race 2019 NASCAR Cup Series schedule at Chicagoland Speedway, the Camping World 400, tying the sixth highest driver total on an entry list so far this season.

This race is the only race at Chicagoland Speedway on the 2019 schedule, marking just the fourth track that the series has visited so far this season that is not scheduled to be revisited throughout the remainder of the season. The other three tracks of this variety are Atlanta Motor Speedway, Auto Club Speedway and Sonoma Raceway.

For the seventh consecutive race, just six drivers representing three different teams are set to enter the weekend having won at least one race this season.

More from NASCAR Cup Series

Five of these six drivers have combined to win 15 of the 16 races that have been contested so far this season while three of these five drivers have combined to win 11 races.

However, for the first time since ahead of the season’s eighth race at Bristol Motor Speedway in early April, the number of drivers who have taken at least one pole position so far this season is something other than eight.

After eight different drivers representing four different teams took one pole position through the first eight races of the season, it took until the season’s 16th race last Sunday at Sonoma Raceway for a ninth different driver to take a pole position. The driver who took the pole position for this race, Chip Ganassi Racing’s Kyle Larson, also made Chip Ganassi Racing the fifth different team to take a pole position in 2019.

Who will take the pole position and who will qualify where throughout the rest of the field for this Sunday afternoon’s 267-lap race around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois?
