IndyCar Team Power Rankings after 2019 Honda Indy Toronto
By Asher Fair
How do IndyCar’s full-time teams stack up against one another in the IndyCar Team Power Rankings following the Honda Indy Toronto?
For the first time since he won the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in late May, Team Penske’s Simon Pagenaud was victorious in an IndyCar race, as he won the 17-race 2019 season’s 11th race at Exhibition Place, the Honda Indy Toronto.
Pagenaud’s victory in this 85-lap race around the 11-turn, 1.786-mile (2.874-kilometer) temporary street circuit on the streets of Exhibition Place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada was his third victory of the season, and it was Team Penske’s sixth victory of the season.
Like Pagenaud, Josef Newgarden has also earned Team Penske three victories so far this season. All of the other teams in the sport have only combined to earn five.

Team Penske’s Will Power, however, is still searching for his first victory of the season.
Aside of Team Penske, only Andretti Autosport have won multiple races so far in 2019, and they have won two of them. Alexander Rossi won both of these races for the team.
Harding Steinbrenner Racing, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing and Chip Ganassi Racing, all Honda teams like Andretti Autosport and unlike the Chevrolet-powered Team Penske, have each won one race so far this season.
How did the 2019 season’s 11th race affect the IndyCar Team Power Rankings? Here are the formulated IndyCar Team Power Rankings and the non-formulated IndyCar Team Power Rankings following Team Penske’s series-high sixth victory of the season.
